M1928 Thompson Chicago Typewriter Replica SMG

Non-firing collector's replica of the Denix M1928 Thompson submachine gun, made of metal and wood with a simulated blowback action and removable box magazine. This inert display model cannot be fired and cannot chamber or discharge any ammunition.

The original Thompson M1928, designed by John T. Thompson in 1918, was adopted by U.S. forces in 1938 and saw extensive service in World War II, the Korean War, and early Vietnam conflicts.

Nicknamed the "Chicago Typewriter," "Trench Broom," and "The Chopper," it became infamous during the Prohibition era as the weapon of choice for both law enforcement and organized crime. Its .45 ACP caliber, high rate of fire, and distinctive finned barrel made it one of the most recognisable firearms of the 20th century.

This Denix M1928 Thompson reproduction faithfully recreates its iconic appearance for collectors, historical displays, reenactment, film, and themed décor.
